Kristie’s dream has always been to open her own restaurant. After pursing a business degree at the University of Cincinnati, she went on to study culinary arts at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Kristie has worked in the restaurant industry for thirteen years doing everything from Hostess to Executive Chef in San Francisco, Chicago, and Cincinnati. In July 2011 she opened Meritage Restaurant in Glendale, Ohio.
Meritage is about serving the best food, providing exemplary service, creating an inviting atmosphere, all without the typical “steak house” prices.

In 2012, Meritage was one of five restaurants in Cincinnati to make it on Urban Spoon’s “America’s Most Popular High-End Restaurants” list.
